The Packathon is a day for the community to join together and help WJR to sort and pack our collected goods for communities in the Former Soviet Union.
The World Jewish Relief Annual Packathon is a busy, family day, in partnership with Mitzvah Day, where the community joins together to sort and pack all of our collected goods ready to be sent to people who desperately need them. With your help, we can collect all of the items from our needs list and send them to families living in dire poverty across the Former Soviet Union.
We would love anyone over the age of 5 to book a place and come along on the day. We also need people to volunteer to organise collections of items from the following list:
WJR Packathon Needs List:
Winter Coats (good as new with no stains, buttons missing, broken zips or torn linings)
Soft Toys
Warm Hats, Scarves and Gloves
Toiletries (including shampoo, shower gel, soap, talc)
Duvets and pillows
Dental products (toothbrushes & toothpaste for both adults and children)
Hygiene products (sanitary towels, tampons, panty liners)
Incontinence Products (pads, pants, liners)
Baby Toiletries (including baby wipes, baby lotion, baby talc, baby shampoo)
Disposable Nappies
Any contribution will make a real impact on those in desperate need. Please note that once you let us know that you are collecting, you will be given full instructions on how to drop off your goods. They must be delivered to the WJR warehouse before the 13th November.
