Update on WJR's Myanmar (Burma) Cyclone Appeal 21-11-2008
In May 2008, Cyclone Nargis made landfall on the coast of Myanmar (Burma). According to news reports in the immediate aftermath of the disaster, almost 80,000 were killed by the cyclone and more than 55,000 were reported missing. Following WJR's emergency appeal, the UK Jewish community responded by giving more than £73,000 to the victims of the cyclone.

Sunday 16 November saw another mass World Jewish Relief (WJR) "Packathon" at the WJR warehouse in Neasden, supported by The Jewish Community Centre for London (JCC) Mitzvah Day.
