For families facing desperate hardship and struggling on meagre incomes, choices between buying medicing for a sick child or food for the family have to be made daily. GiK eases those choices by providing clothes, toiletries, blankets, shoes, pharmaceuticals and many more items which instantly help and improve lives.

Imagine the excitement of a child when they receive a toy from the UK. It is probably their first ever experience of a gift, of kindness, of pleasure. Helping through GiK is about taking a small action and making a huge difference. Providing not only practical immediate help but giving hope for the future.

GiK is a hugely successful programme which is dependent on the support of companies, individuals and communities who have been instrumental to the huge success of the programme. We need to keep up the momentum to ensure this immediate lifeline continues.

After you donate goods to WJR, we arrange, sort and re-pack them in our WJR warehouse in Neasden, London. We then ship containers to communities in desperate need. At the other end, they are distributed under the strict supervision of professional, locally based community workers.

WJR has shipped over £17 million worth of goods through the GiK programme, but the need continues unabated.
