KEY FACTS

£1,000... wil provide replacement windows for the homes of 50 of the most vulnerable families in Ukraine.

£5,000... will support the welfare needs of 24 elderly people at Savyon Lodge, Zimbabwe, for one year.

£25,000... will endow a room in the new Jewish Community Centre in Kharkov, Ukraine, which will support the 45,000 strong Jewish community there.

Your legacy can give support to struggling and isolated Jewish communities, from Argentina to Zimbabwe. Leaving a gift in your will to WJR is not only an enormous and unforgettable act of compassion which can help those in most desperate need. It also has the power to give them a brighter future and a chance to help themselves.

The benefits of leaving a gift.

Leaving a legacy in your will is a very generous act which will never be forgotten. Especially by those whose lives it touches. The positive impact your gift can have on peoples' lives is immeasurable, yet it costs you nothing during your lifetime. This is because charity legacies are exempt from both Capital Gains and Inheritance Tax. Which means more of your money goes to those in need instead of the taxman. For a full list of tax benefits please have a look at HM Revenue and Customs website: www.hmrc.gov.uk

Be remembered for your generosity.

When you leave a gift to WJR, there are a number of ways your contribution can be recognised. You can instruct us to use it towards something in particular: for example, emergency food supplies, medical equipment or a safe play area for children. Perhaps you would like to contribute towards building new facilities in a community centre. These buildings ensure the elderly can come together in a warm and welcoming environment, and encourage the mutual support which is critical to their survival. Alternatively, you can let WJR direct your donation to where we believe the need is greatest.

A wonderful way to commemorate a life.

With a wealth of vital programmes to choose from, your support can be publicly recognised with a memorial plaque, either in your name, or dedicated to honour the life of a family member or friend. It is up to you, and we are committed to accommodating whichever way works best for you personally. Alternatively you could join us on a Mission to visit one of our programmes overseas, to see the work first hand and leave a living legacy to WJR. Just contact us to find out more.

Donations in Memory.

If you would like to raise donations in lasting memory of the life of a loved one, why not consider starting a tribute fund on behalf of World Jewish Relief (WJR). We have come together with the website memorial charity MuchLoved to offer you a way of creating a special website memorial dedicated to your loved one, where visitors can also make a donation to World Jewish Relief (WJR). Please visit our MuchLoved webpage to set one up or to find out more. Thank you for your support.
