Support Group for Families of Terminally Ill, Zimbabwe
A lady in Zimbabwe runs a number of small but highly successful projects to help adult women from families affected by HIV/AIDS. She has recently begun to help children from the same families.
All are extremely vulnerable and are able to attend school only with her assistance.
The grant will cover school fees and uniforms for 26 children, arts and craft equipment, burgler proofing at the centre and a multi-purpose sports pitch.
Art classes will act as therapy and provide the children with an escape from the drudgery of their daily lives, and participating in sports such as netball and football will encourage team work and offer an outlet for their energy.
